Susan Scholtz, under the guidance of William Everson, produced Scholtz Landing 2009. The method used for the handcrafted
wine was in the William Everson long-established tradition of the garagiste: small barrel selection, limited quantities and an extra measure of care and attention make these distinctive and uncommon.
Their fresh and contemporary style is balanced by a natural, authentic and unblemished character that tells of an ancient craft, passed down from generation to generation.
Shiraz 2009 : Elgin origin, grapes from the Belfield farm.
A fruity light style of Shiraz, with a drop of Mourvedre, adding a spicy tone to the flavour of the wine.
Good red colour, with lots of red berries/black currants on the nose and taste
Soft structured tannins, with well balanced acidity.
